I'm looking forward to Google Seafloor View, and Google Footpath View in the future. Maybe in the future we'll send little remote control cars out, having plotted their paths with Google streetview, then they'll do all our shopping and errands robotically... We'll all be fat and happy in our homes, getting soft, innocent and unsuspecting until the advent of technological singularity. Can't really see how it's going to make any money for Google, unless it's a loss-leader. 1600 yen an hour - if my car wasn't without an engine at the moment I could strap the camera to the top of it and have most of Okinawa filmed in half a day!
