Agree with your last point 100%. Japan is the only developed country where AIDS is on the increase and there does not seem to be any awareness campaign or anything about it. It is still seen as a foreign disease, which is one of the main problems. The mentality could be seen as one of "If you don't have sex with any foreigners, there is no chance of you getting AIDS".

If it is suicide, it may have more to do with the kidney disease. Could also have been kidney failure. I'm sure her autopsy is a big priority up there in Tokyo so we'll know soon enough. I'd like to see some of her friends in the entertainment world pick up her battle against the spread of AIDs here.

Yeah, that is just a bit too close a prediction for comfort.

Thanks for the compliment on the article. I tried to post pictures that were classy, but still as people would want to remember her. Still don't think it was suicide. I just think there would have been some sort of note or signal given in her blog or in her apartment that would explain her decision. Might be proceed wrong but that's my hunch is unfortunately going towards natural causes.

I'm not a very superstitious person, but I don't know what to think about this.

Your article"Ai Iijima Dead For One Week When Found" by the way, is great as usual. Good pictures too... I mean who wouldn't have wanted to be friends with her? There's definitely more to this story. It's just so sad.
